Who we are

FormSathi is the provider of the FormSathi Android app and the website at formsathi.app. In this Privacy Policy, “FormSathi,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the FormSathi service and its operators.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• the FormSathi Android app; and
• the formsathi.app website.

This policy explains what data we access, collect, use, store, share, and retain when you use the app or the website.

Data we access, collect, and use

Data you provide in the app

FormSathi may access, store, and use profile details or other information that you choose to enter into the app for form-filling, organization, and related app features.

Documents and images you choose to handle

FormSathi may access and process documents, images, PDFs, signatures, passport photos, certificates, marksheets, and Aadhaar-related or PAN-related files only when you choose to import, capture, process, save, export, or share them through the app.

These files may contain personal or sensitive information. FormSathi does not upload this app content to FormSathi servers by default, and the app does not automatically upload documents or images simply because they exist on your device.

Camera access

The FormSathi Android app requests camera permission only so you can capture a photo, signature, or document image inside the app. Camera access is user-initiated. The app does not use the camera in the background.

Photos, media, and file access

The FormSathi Android app may request access to photos, media, or files only when you choose to select, import, save, export, or share files or images through the app. This access is user-initiated.

Website usage and analytics data

When you use formsathi.app, we may collect limited website usage information such as aggregate page views, download clicks, referring pages, device or browser type, and similar traffic or performance information. We use this information at an aggregate level to understand website usage, improve reliability, and maintain the website.

We do not state that “no data is collected” because website traffic and support interactions may involve limited personal data or usage data.

Support and contact data

If you contact us by email or through a support channel, we may receive the information you choose to send us, such as your name, email address, message content, and any attachments you include.

How we use data

We use data to:

• let users capture, process, organize, save, export, and share form-related documents and images;
• provide app and website features;
• respond to support requests and user communications;
• maintain security, prevent misuse, and improve reliability; and
• understand aggregate website usage and performance.

Data sharing

FormSathi does not sell personal data.

App data is not uploaded to FormSathi servers by default. Documents, images, PDFs, signatures, passport photos, certificates, marksheets, Aadhaar-related files, and PAN-related files are not automatically transmitted to us merely because you use the app.

We do not share app content with third parties except:

• when you explicitly choose to export or share content using app features;
• when support or communication necessarily involves information you send to us; or
• where disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request.

Website usage data or support data may be processed by service providers that help operate the website, communications, or support workflows, if such providers are used. This Privacy Policy does not name analytics or support providers unless and until they are actually used and confirmed.

Data storage

FormSathi is designed as an offline-first app. By default, user content handled inside the FormSathi Android app is stored locally on the user’s device.

The formsathi.app website is separate from on-device app storage. Visiting the website does not mean your on-device app content is uploaded to the website or stored on FormSathi servers.

Data retention and deletion

App data stored locally on your device generally remains there until you delete it, remove it using in-app controls if available, or uninstall the app.

If the app provides delete, remove, or clear controls for saved data or files, you may use those controls to manage local content on your device.

Website usage records, support emails, and similar operational records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and legitimate business recordkeeping.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information that we control, including operational and administrative safeguards appropriate to the nature of the service.

For app content stored locally on your device, security also depends on your device protections, such as screen lock, operating system protections, app permissions, and safe handling of exported or shared files.

No method of storage, transmission, or electronic processing is 100% secure. For that reason, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Permissions

Camera

The FormSathi Android app may request camera permission so you can capture images of documents, signatures, passport photos, or related content inside the app. This permission is used only when you choose to use camera-based features.

Photos / media / files

The FormSathi Android app may request access to photos, media, or files so you can choose images, PDFs, and other documents for import, processing, saving, export, or sharing. This permission is used only when you choose those actions.

Children’s privacy

FormSathi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children under 13 through the app or website. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us at developer@formsathi.app so we can review the issue.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, website, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we update the policy, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above.
